Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee

A comprehensive plan serves as a roadmap to the Town’s future, and explores a range of topics affecting our community, including planning, zoning, infrastructure, programming, Town finance, and other areas affecting our quality of life. The comprehensive plan steering committee serves as a critical link between the community and the planning process. 

Committee members will assist in plan development as follows:

• Assist in the development of a public engagement strategy, designed to involve as many community members as possible, and to keep the community informed of plan activities.
• Plan and attend two public forums, anticipated for late 2023 and early 2024;
• Assist the consultant team in validating data on construction and commercial activity, population trends, etc.;
• Assist the consultant team in developing recommendations for future initiatives in the Town.

      • Review and edit the draft plan before advancing to the Town Board
